I am an accredited Edinburgh-based psychotherapist with over six years’ clinical experience in private and charitable settings. I am experienced at providing both short-term and open-ended therapy and have worked across a range of areas, including:

  • stress,
  • depression,
  • anxiety,
  • trauma,
  • sexuality,
  • relationship issues,
  • low self-esteem,

Alongside seeing clients privately, I have also volunteered as a therapist at a number of Edinburgh-based charities, including: LGBT Health and Well Being, Gay Men’s Health and the PF Counselling Service. My About me page includes more on my qualifications, experience and journey to becoming a therapist.

My practice

I practice from a venue in central Edinburgh (EH1), where I offer both short-term and open-ended therapy. I also offer online therapy appointments using Zoom. All my therapy appointments are currently online.

My training is in a mindfulness-based approach and combines principles of mindful-awareness with modern psychological theories and approaches. I have included more on how I use mindfulness in my work on my About therapy page.

I currently only work one-to-one with adults (18 years of age and over) and typically meet clients on a weekly basis.

Code of ethics

I am bound by the Code of Ethics and Conduct of the ACPP (Association of Core Process Psychotherapists) and UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy). UKCP’s new code of ethics goes live on the 1st October, 2019.

Professional Memberships

I am an accredited member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and graduate member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).

I offer a safe, non-judging and confidential therapeutic space where thoughts and feelings can be shared and explored.

Psychotherapy provides an opportunity to reconnect with one’s inner resources and resilience, as well as an opportunity to discover new and more flexible ways of relating to oneself, others and life.
